YOGADANCE RETREAT

a.m. yoga

Leave the pressures of daily life, take a pause, and retreat to Hawaii's Big Island for five days and six nights of yoga and salsa. Relax, renew, empower, and cut loose! Join us for a soulful connection through yoga, salsa, & Latin fusion dance with Tracey Coddington and Chad Swimmer.

Each day in Hawaii begins with a beautiful sunrise and a number of options:  

Morning meditation is optional, with simple guidance for those who are new to the practice.

Class time begins at 9 AM and ends at noon. Morning hours will be dedicated to opening and strengthening with yoga, then dancing to world music, with moves drawn from Latin, jazz, Caribbean and African traditions.

After enjoying Kalani's gourmet lunch, your midday hours can be filled with walks along nearby ocean cliffs, relaxation on black sand beaches visited by resident dolphins and turtles, tide pool explorations, or a good book next to the captivating 25 meter swimming pool and spa. Massage and Watsu are also available on the grounds.

In the afternoons and evenings, we will dance salsa with partners in an easy fusion style that Chad has developed, with interludes of restorative yoga.

There will be more opportunity for dance after dinner for those who want to keep moving into the night!  Styles such as swing, Lindy, waltz, or other can be taught by request.  Chad will leave open the possibility of having more advanced classes, if guests are interested. Other evening options available for your enjoyment include hula dance classes or a hike to the lava flow if conditions are safe.
